The sister to late footballer Emiliano Sala, Romina Sala, 29 is reportedly in a critical condition after attempting to take her own life more than two years after the footballer’s disappearance and death, according to Argentine media.

Romina Sala, who has been the spokeswoman for the family since January 2019, is being treated in the Jose Maria Cullen Hospital in Santa Fe, Argentina, unnamed hospital sources told website TN Deportivo.

She has continued to post about her brother on social media following his tragic death. Sharing an image on his birthday, October 31, two years ago, she wrote: ‘There are no words that can describe the pain.
