Robbers attack bullion van in Ondo
Gunmen suspected to be armed robbers have attacked a bullion van belonging to a commercial bank in Ondo State.
The bullion van was attacked at Emure-Ile junction, on Owo local government area of Ondo state.
With details of the attack still sketchy, the dare-devil robbers were said to have carried out the attack while the bullion van was in motion.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Ondo State, Tee-Leo Ikoro, could not be reached for comment on the incident but a similar attack had occurred on July 29 in Ondo town.
About two weeks earlier, some armed robbers had attacked a bank at Ilara-Mokin in Ifedore Local Government Area of the state, where three lives were lost including that of a popular journalist, Bunmi Afuye.
