Nigerians Troop To IG Account Of Alleged New Wife Of Ooni Of Ife Where She Calls Herself “Aya Oba”
Following Queen Naomi’s announcement that her marriage to the Yoruba king is terminated, Nigerians flocked to the page of the putative new wife of the Ooni of Ife to write messages.
Princess Ashley Afolashade Afolakemi, the purported new wife, usually shares images of herself in the Palace and photos of her visiting with neighbourhood children.
She signs off her posts with Aya Oba (wife of the king) and Aya Olofin Adimula.
Additional reports also show that when she is abroad she strictly wears white or ivory just as the wives of Yoruba monarchs are known for. It can also be seen on her Instagram account.
She shared a photo of her and the Ooni in the Palace during the Ooni of Ife’s last coronation ceremony and praised him.
Following reports that she is the new woman that forced Olori Naomi to leave, Nigerians have flocked to her Facebook page to express their support.
In other news, the palace of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has reacted to reports on the divorce of Her Majesty, Queen Silekunola Naomi from the Monarch.
Queen Naomi took to social media on Thursday to announce her separation from the Ooni of Ife.
She wrote;
