“Please come back to class and earn your degree” – LASU begs Bella Shmurda who dropped out of school for music
The Lagos State University has pleaded with the fast-rising artiste, Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed aka Bella Shmurda, to return to the institution and complete his degree programme.
The pleas follow Bella Shmurda’s self-praise on his birthday, of which he stated that he was glad he dropped out of school to pursue his music career.
On Twitter, Bella Shmurda had said: “I now worth over half a billion streams (550millions streams to be precise). I for still Dey lasu Dey wine and dine with carryovers and stranded with nothing in my pocket… forever glad I did my thing.”
Reacting to this, LASU replied to the artiste saying: “Happy birthday @fineboybella. Glad you have come this far pursuing your dream. Also glad @LASUOfficial played a part in your beautiful story because Univ. don’t make people rich, only incubate them to find and achieve purpose. BTW, please come back to class and earn your degree❤.”
