“Why I grew up hating my mum” – Actress, Dorcas Shola-Fapson (Video)

Nollywood actress and disc jockey, Dorcas Shola-Fapson, has opened up on why she grew up hating her mother.

Dorcas shared this during a recent interview on the “Tea with Taymesan” Podcast.

She said her parents moved to the UK when they just got married but didn’t have the required immigration papers.

She said when she was two years old, her mother was deported back to Nigeria for not having immigration papers but her dad managed to sort himself out.

Explaining the reason behind her short-lived hatred for her mum, Dorcas disclosed that her dad claimed her mother abandoned her in the UK because she doesn’t love her.

According to her, this made her grow up hating her mother because she believed she never loved her. However, she stated that now that she is older, she understands her family’s predicament better.

When asked why her dad lied about why her mum left them in the UK, Dorcas said it was because “he was hurt”.
