Burnley ends Manchester United Winning Streak

Manchester United winning streak since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over at the club in November has come to an end after they were unable to defeat struggling Burnley at the Old Trafford.

The first half was goalless with both teams unable to get one pass each other. Ashley Barnes opened the score chart 6 minutes into the second half before Chris Wood made it 2 for the visiting team in the 81st minute. The visiting team got too comfortable and went to sleep which gave Manchester United the chance to pull one back in the 87th minute through a spot kick by Paul Pogba, Victor Lindelof levelled the score in injury time to make it 2 – 2.

Both teams were forced to share the points.

Manchester United remains 6th on the English Premier League log while Burnley moved up on the log and they are now 15th.

Solskjaer’s Manchester United winning streak has ended after 9 consecutive wins in all competition.
