#NigeriaDecides2019Result: INEC declares Buhari winner in Borno State
President Muhammadu Buhari and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Muhammadu Buhari has defeated his main challenger and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, in the Saturday, February 23, the presidential election held in Borno state.
The total number of accredited voters in the state were: 987,290 and the total number of valid votes were: 919,786, the total number of invalid votes were: 35,419, and total votes cast were: 955,205.
President Buhari polled: 836,496 while PDP’s Atiku narrowly secured: 71,788.
The difference between the ruling party, APC, and the main opposition party, PDP is 764,708.
