Oba of Benin bans the WEARING OF BEADS in his Kingdom

The Oba of Benin has placed a temporary ban on the wearing of beads in his kingdom as part of the rituals for the celebration of a festival in his kingdom.

This is coming few months after a Chief in Benin, identified as Chief Dr Oguigo, was humiliated and labelled an enemy of the land for not paying homage to the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II.

Facebook user, Chuks Mgborie-Chukwu, who shared the video on his timeline, said a curse was placed on the chief at the Oba of Benin Palace. On the day the decree was made, the chief was also ostracized.

The video showed the elderly chief stripped to his trousers and pleading for mercy while being escorted out of the palace. Passers-by also watched in amazement as the erring man wailed out of the palace premises.

Also, a Germany based man identified as Murphy Idahosa was been banished from the Benin Kingdom for disrespecting the Oba of Benin. The things he did to disrespect the king was however not disclosed.
