Nigerians are reacting to the verdict of the FCT High Court in Maitama, sentencing Maryam Sanda to death by hanging for killing her husband, Bilyaminu Bello in 2017.

The court found Sanda guilty of killing her husband during an argument in their Abuja home in November 2017.

While others applauded the court for the judgement, others stated that it is highhanded. Some also said it is a lesson to people in toxic relationships or marriages to leave before they kill their partners. Read reactions below.
