Stay away from abusive partners – Actress Funmi Awelewa advises singles
In recent times, there have been reports of serious domestic violence cases which have led to the death of one partner or the other.
Just recently, Nollywood actress, Funmi Awelewa, took to her social media page to advise singles to be careful about their choice of life partners.
The actress said that people should stay away from abusive partners because it never ends well. She also said that single people should take their time to settle for the best, no matter the amount of pressure they are facing from society to get married.
Excerpts from her caption read:
“To my dear single ladies, please take your time to settle for the best and not the less. You see this life ehn, everything no just balance. A lot of singles rush into marriage because of parental pressure, age, societal pressure, infatuation, etc. See for this life, dem no dey tell blind man say rain dey fall. Don’t go and marry who go turn you to punching bag. Say no peer pressure…May we not marry who will take our life.”
