Youths and suspected Yahoo boys protest in Osogbo; accuse EFCC Officials of Extortion (Photos)

A group of youths and others suspected to be internet fraudsters popularly known as ‘Yahoo Yahoo boys’ staged a protest over repeated arrests carried out in Osogbo, the Osun state capital by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).

According to reports, EFCC operatives stormed Adetunji Estate and Hallelujah Estate in Osogbo to arrest suspected internet fraudsters on Monday night, May 17 but were prevented by youths in the area who stopped them from allegedly taking away 20 vehicles belonging to the suspects.

On Tuesday morning, the suspected internet fraudsters stormed Lameco Junction and Dele Yes Sir Junction to make bonfires and mount roadblocks.
