Victony reacts following claims of using wheelchair condition to boost career

Nigerian Singer and songwriter, Anthony Victor better known as Victony have taken to his social media page to mark the anniversary of the car accident that almost ended his promising career and life.

On the 26th of April, 2021, Victony was returning home from a birthday party in the company of his friends when the car they were in suffered a fatal crash that ended the life of his friend, Doyin.

The accident had forced Victony into surgery. He was also wheelchair-ridden for many months but that did not stop his voice from making the airwaves and the singer has come back from the crash a stronger, better and more popular version of himself.

Victony took out his social media page today to remember his late friend as he announced his latest single.

He wrote;

1 year already. From dark times to Exciting times, y’all saw me through those phases.

Victony is signed to MainlandBlockParty, a record label owned by Tobi Mohammed.

The musician, also known by fans as the Outlaw King, had last year released ‘Saturn’, his debut extended play (EP).
